This book seals with the theology of death is not yet properly explored in the West Syrian tradition. In this study on the liturgy of the Sunday of the Departed is a remarkable contribution to the theology of death in the West Syrian tradition. On the basis of the text of the liturgy of the Sunday of the Departed, and also with the help of the texts of the funeral liturgies and other important liturgical services of the West Syrian Tradition, the author identifies and develops some important themes concerning death. This book brings out the richness and beauty of the west Syrian liturgical prayer.
