Description

The fruit of a Symposium conducted from October 27 to 29, 2009 at St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary in connection the Year for Priests. The book begins with a quest for the origins of priesthood from the perspectives of the western and the eastern ecclesial traditions and also of the religious and cultural milieu of India and Kerala. It then discusses the present ad intra and ad extra problems related to priesthood. In the third part, it visualizes the themes about an ideal
priestly ministry for the future. The concluding section presents the views of a cross section of the People of God on the need of collaborative ministry in the Church
